The Missions Ministry of First Assembly has a reputation around the world for its work in missions giving and church planting.

First Assembly is the # 1 Assemblies of God church in the nation for world missions giving! Currently we give support to almost 350 missionaries both at home and abroad.

In November 2006, we received faith promises in the amount of $4,187,726. All of which will be given in support of missions around the world.

First Assembly, with inspiration and hard work from Pastor Betzer, has started churches in Siberia, China and at home in Cape Coral and Miami, Florida. This is in addition to the five satellite campuses that we have planted in the Fort Myers area. Missions are an essential part of First Assembly year round, however, each November, we focus our efforts even more and have our annual Missions Convention.

Guest Speakers from around the world come and share with us their stories of trials and triumphs, challenges and changed lives. Everyone in the church is involved:

• The youth have their own Missions Banquet and raise money for Speed the Light, providing much needed vehicles for missionaries on the field.


• The Children's' Ministry raises money for BGMC (The Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade) and has their own Banquet as well!


• The adults can participate in an international ladies tea, an adult Missions Banquet and the Tour of Missions, where you can experience many other countries - all under one roof!

The Convention concludes with Faith Promise Sunday, where we prayerfully make our Faith Promise for Missions for the upcoming year. It is a "Faith Promise" instead of a "pledge" because this is a commitment that you can ONLY meet with God's help! Remember, if it is reachable with your own resources... it isn't a Faith Promise!

In the upcoming year, Pastor Betzer will be working with churches in our district to raise money to fund ministries in the Muslim world.
